Read what some of the leading reviewers said about some of David’s designs!

the amount of low bass energy this speaker can produce is astounding..

is up there with the established big boys, ATC, Genelec, PMC and the rest..

..an optional, I would suggest imperative extra is on site analysis and alignment of the system..

the results were most impressive, exhibiting delicacy and presence conveying the subtle detail..that few boxed loudspeakers can equal

"there was absolutely no hint of either compression or distortion, just limitless power coupled with lightning speed"

Described here are some configurations that offer controlled dispersion. Applying increasing amounts of delay from zero to the figures shown will enable the user or installer to create different polar patterns from dipole through hyper cardioid to cardioid. Reverse phase set on the crossover is applied to the rear cabinet in all cases.

Due to the cabinet spacing the frequency limits need to be adhered to as beyond these the patterns become irregular and of no benefit!

Here simply we have one cabinet directly behind the other. The gap between the two cabinets is 100mm.

The rear cabinet is in reverse phase. In all cases the final required response will need to be achieved with eq applied. Reduced sensitivity at low frequencies may indicate that the addition of a sub woofer for high power applications may be required.

These are software predictions of response and take no account for instance of the loudspeakers’ proximity to the floor and other reflections that will effect the final performance.

However having the ability to alter the dispersion pattern of the set up, in particular the rear radiation pattern, will enable the user or installer to better optimise performance for the listener or audience.

The Twins may also be placed back to back as shown in other parts of the site. Applying 2ms delay to the rear cabinet provides cardioid, usable to 150Hz.

But with modular systems even more combinations are possible...
