Although plots and graphs won’t tell you exactly how a loudspeaker sounds they are a guide to the performance capability.

 

Measurements were taken with a calibrated Behringer ECM8000 microphone which was placed a few millimetres from the baffle and between the two 10” drivers. Both gated and pink noise readings were taken and the graphs created by the ARTA software programme.

 

The Twins are set up as two monopoles, forward facing and adjacent to each other with a delay of 1ms set to the outer pair to provide a more even dispersion “in room” with reduced interference response patterns. Eq is applied in the digital domain (Behringer 2496 Ultracurve) and delay in DSP.
